A Saviour was born & died on Cross & rose again & is alive

There is much in the news today about Christmas. Christmas celebrations and attacks against catholic churches [which may or may not be christian depending on IF their focus is on worship of JESUS or the Pope] are the topics. What I found to be good news is that the Palestinian President attended a Christmas ceremony and I thought that remarkable. Of course the reason Christmas is celebrated is JESUS, the 'christ' in which the word christ meant the anointed one in the greek language of centuries ago, but has morphed to mean for most people the same word as redeemer. From the Bible are the words, 'for unto you is born a Saviour... in this passage of scripture..

It is written, "and The Angel of THE LORD said unto them, 'fear not,
for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to
all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David,
a SAVIOUR, which is Christ THE LORD. And this shall be a sign unto you.
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger.
And suddenly, there was with The Angel, a multitude of the heavenly host,
praising GOD and saying 'glory to GOD in the highest, and peace, good
will toward men." Luke 2: 10-13,King James Holy Bible.

I am Christian but not catholic [but Southern Baptist]. Merry Christmas to all!
Title selected to sum up the mission of JESUS on the earth--to make a way for HIS believers to join HIM in heaven when they die, through faith in HIM and repentance of sins [a turning away from them] and baptism *
And churches persecuted by infidels, remember this. JESUS will defeat HIS enemies in HIS time and way.
*footnote' baptism required according to Mark 16:16,King James Holy Bible--read it.
