Unto you is born a SAVIOUR which is CHRIST THE LORD

"And lo, The Angel of THE LORD came upon them and the glory of THE LORD shone round about them, and they were sore afraid. And The Angel said unto them, 'fear not! for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day, in the City of David, a Saviour which is CHRIST THE LORD. And this shall be a sign unto you, ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with The Angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host, praising GOD and saying, 'glory to GOD in the Highest, and and on earth, peace, good will toward men." [Luke 2: 9-14]

This birth of GOD in the flesh, created by the very breath of GOD, that is the HOLY SPIRIT, is who we celebrate at Christmas. JESUS came to earth with a mission, to die in our place so that we all have the opportunity to have at-one-ment [atonement] with GOD THE FATHER. This JESUS was foretold in the Old Testament and is also written about in the Qu'ran as Isa. The birth of JESUS was told by The Angel to Joseph, Mary and the shepherds and the "Wise Men", and also by the prophets, who prophesied that GOD would come in the flesh to know first-hand what we humans experience on the earth, but yet without sin, and HE would take upon HIMSELF the sins of the world, becoming the all time sacrificial lamb. The New Testatment tells of JESUS, GOD in the flesh, and HIS time on the earth and how HE and only HE ascended to heaven after HIS resurrection.
