Worshipping the "queen of heaven" destroys nations

Is God mocked? Do nations that worship the 'queen of heaven" prevail?

"The word that came to Jeremiah...howbeit I sent unto you all MY servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, "oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, to turn from their wickedness, to burn incense unto other gods. Wherefore My fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the streets of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate as at this day. ..in that ye provoke Me to wrath, with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt. Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your "fathers"? and the wickedness of the Kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem? ...than all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods and all the women that stood by, a great multitude ,even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathos, answered Jeremiah saying, as for the word thou hast spoken unto us, in The Name of The Lord, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the "queen of heaven" and to pour our drink offerings [wine and liquor, alcohol] unto her, as we have done, we and our "fathers" [priests of false gods] , our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem; ...then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer,saying, 'the incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye and your "fathers", your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, did not THE LORD remember them, and came it not into HIS mind? So that THE LORD could no longer bear because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore, is your land a desolation, and an astonishment and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against THE LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of The Lord nor walked in HIS law, nor in HIS statutes, nor in HIS testimonies, therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day'." Jeremiah 44:1a, 4-6,8-915-17,20-23

"thus saith THE LORD of Hosts, " a sword upon the liars, and they shall dote [footnote says despair] ; a sword is upon her mighty men and they shall be dismayed. A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people, that are in the midst of her [the nation that worships idols] . And they shall become as women; a sword is upon her treasures and they shall be robbed. A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up; for it is the land of graven images ,and they are mad upon [insanely worshipping] their idols...as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man abide therein. Behold a people shall come from the north ,and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up, from the coasts of the earth...like a man to the battle. ..therefore, hear ye the counsel of The Lord, ...that HE hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans...thus saith The Lord, I will raise up against ...against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against ME, a destroying wind. " Jeremiah 50:37-38,40-41.45-46 [Note the entire books of the prophets are detailed about the practices of idolatry that are abhorrent to God, and the result of it to the nation: destruction. I have attempted to convey the gist of the warnings in a few Scriptures. Read all the books of the prophets for a clear and present warning of the wrath of God coming on those nations that bow down to idols or worship the "queen of heaven" . ]

All the prophets, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, Habbukuk, Joel, Micah, Isaiah, Jonah, Zephaniah, Malachi, warned against the people about turning away from the worship of the ONE God to the worship of idols, how it offends God and how HE punishes it. The book of Lamentations is the record of the people's suffering who refused to listen to the prophets sent by God and the Commandments of God written in The Book.
